Royal Holiday was founded in 1991 in London by Paul Spackman. The company’s initial aim was to provide holiday deals to members searching for a good deal on their holiday. It was a highly successful business, and in 1994, Paul moved to the United States to set up a new company. The Royal Holiday name was used temporarily until an agreement was reached between Paul and the original board members to establish a new retail holiday company. Royal Holiday was granted its first Royal Charter at Kensington Palace on 10 January 2005 by HRH Prince William and HRH Catherine, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Royal Holiday has developed an international foothold, opening operations in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. It has a vast network of partners and agents who are based throughout the world.
