Shafik Sachedina of Sussex Healthcare

Dr. Shafik Sachedina is also trusted with interfacing for the Aga Khan institutions and the Development Network programs of all Ismaili communities based in central Asia.

Dr. Shafik Sachedina was born in 1950 Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania. He is a qualified dental surgeon. He obtained his qualification in 1975 after attending the Guy’s Hospital Medical and Dental School at the University of London. Dr. Shafik Sachedina practiced his profession for many years in London. During his working period, Dr. Shafik Sachedina has created substantial entrepreneurial interests across the healthcare sector. His work and contributions to the Jamati institutions and the Aga Khan are undertaken on a voluntary basis, keeping in line with the community commitment of standing up with traditional voluntary services.

In addition to the many positions that Dr. Shafik Sachedina holds and being a board member of the institute’s Board of Governors, he is also responsible for co-coordinating all the community, Ismaili Imamat, and Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) programs. Dr. Shafik Sachedina
